Coca-Cola Mystic

Jerome Olivet is the latest designer to imagine how the Coke bottle form could be reconsidered. Jerome's promotion of the bottle is, well, French. I will leave it to his description:

“Mystic surprised by its beauty and intensity. It was created to live an intense and fleeting moment. Its racy style describes a supernatural world which soars skyward. Its skin has a sculpted unique spiritual experience. We discover in the palm of our hand soft and aerodynamic forms. Its living surface is shaped by a force mysterious and transparent. It sends us all the energy and excitement of Coca-Cola Its sexy lines and red color give happiness in 3 dimensions. Both organic shapes intertwine and form a body ambiguous and fascinating. Its loving silhouette, ties into a true popular poetry.”

Death Bag-netic

The Death Bag, by Vedang Julkarni, uses a coffin shape to discourage mass use of plastic bags. It seems a bit counterintuitive, seeing as mass usage of this plastic bag is what will create such awareness. Regardless, it would have been a cool companion piece to the Metallica album.

Leaf a Note

Korean designer, Sangwoo Nam, recently expanded his Leaf-it memo pad series. Now the frame of Post-it's depicting horribly ugly women on Butler's monitor can have a little grace. A little.

Taxidermy that Looks Better on Paper

Artist, Anna-Wili Highfield, sculpts taxidermy animals from torn paper and copper pipe. It's almost a humane gesture, but just think of all those poor damn trees that died for this art.
