Magicians of Package Design

Our work is featured in this month's issue of DESIGN (a Taiwanese design magazine). It's a special issue about California.

It's all written in Chinese, so I've asked my mom to help translate. I won't go over every word, but overall they had great things to say about us, our beautiful studio, distant crits with London, and our simple, iconic design.

It's all very complimentary, although some phrases get lost in translation. Highlights include:

"... a secret basement for designers."

(I think that was their translation for mancave)

"Little stream that can flow forever."

(They meant this in a very positive way. We aren't a flash flood that comes and goes. It's a Chinese saying for long-term, referring to both our timeless design and our client partnerships/relationships.)

"Like a magician's stick, they touch it."

(Okay, another Chinese saying, but again, a great compliment. In Chinese, they say that when you draw a dragon, the last, but most important part, is to touch it... to bring it to life.)

The headline of the article reads: Turner Duckworth, Magicians of Package Design.

That's us.
