Go home designer, you're drunk!

These provocative pieces of packaging were created by Italian designer, Anna Utopia Giordano. They are supposed to be pieces of art that create social awareness about alcoholism with pregnant women and minors and child neglect... whatever, they're just funny.

Diet Cuckoo

Jean Paul Gaultier is the latest designer who's designs are shown on limited edition Diet Coke packaging. In addition to cans, bottles, and premium packs; the completely sane designer has done a series of video shorts with puppets that will scare you out of eating so you can look like one of his models.

Power Breakfast

eCoupled presented new technology at the Consumer Electronics Show this year that can print illuminated messaging onto paperboard packaging. It can also keep track of expiration dates and send you a shopping list to your smartphone.

They also created a can of soup that can cook on your kitchen counter, no stove needed.

F.D.A. Unveils Graphic Warning Labels for Cigarettes

Now that tobacco is being regulated by the Food and Drug Administration, cigarette packs will depict graphics of smoking consequences filling half the front pack face. The result is an anomaly in packaging design where the product has developed a split personality that tries to seduce and deter the consumer. Hopefully, this will not be a trend that translates to other products overseen by the FDA.

Roman Bridge is Falling Down

To demonstrate the lightweight construction of a new 14 story communal building atop a bridge in Rome, OFL architecture recreated the structure by amending a box of Barilla. Perhaps through molded pulp or lasers or magic we can recreate this technique with one of our designs to create a collapsable piece of packaging.

Yes, the used box of pasta is more interesting than the building.

Hanger Tea

Soon Mo Kang has designed a line of tea inspired by clothes hanging in a closet. I'm not sure why the theme of clothing was chosen, but it is clever!
