DESIGNS OF THE YEAR 2012

The Design Museum has announced the projects nominated for the Designs of the Year 2013. Last years winner was The Olympic Torch by BarberOsgerby, see more details of last years winners and exhibition here. This year my vote goes to Thomas Heatherwick, for his beautiful and unique olympic torch, but will they have olympic torches winning on two consecutive years? OLYMPIC-CAULDRON_2291290c cauldron-3-640x355 hp_Cauldron_LOCOG_s-1280x817 I also think 'The Shard' by Renzo Piano is another strong contender. In my opinion, a beautiful building and such a huge project! Sometimes, its almost invisible as light is reflected off every side of it.
