Here's a quick reference guide for major product brands and their holding companies. You will be quizzed at lunch whilst snacking on your Pepsico 3-layer burrito and sipping your Diet Dr. Kraft.

Brand Tags

If you see the Target logo, what is the first word that pops into your mind? This is the basic premise for the site, "Brand Tags" which allows users to type into a database their first thoughts upon seeing a brand logo. That data is collected into a typographical cloud map where word increase in size by how often they were entered.
For example, I entered the word "cereal" for Kelloggs. "Cereal" is one of the most entered words, so it appears quite large. "Corporate" is not entered often, so it appears very small.
The site allows you to search brands without having to enter anything. And just for fun, you can view words users have entered and guess the brand.

Takes the Cake

One often wonders what happens to a brand after you e-mail the guidelines to Coke with a mill of salt. Here, ladies and gentlemen, are images showing where the TaB energy brand has evolved. Sarah, if TaB energy was the brand you birthed, then these images would show your child in her mid-teens in a disco past final call, and trying to dance the mashed potato with a slight drunken limp in her left leg.
