Upcycled Glass Bottleware for Coca Cola

Tokyo Based design firm, Nendo has unveiled a new line of minimal glass tableware. “Bottleware” is a collaboration with Coca Cola Japan focusing on the Contour Bottle. The project makes use of bottles that have over time deteriorated and can no longer be reused. The designers have adopted a wabi sabi aesthetic that embraces the "greenish-blue tint, fine air bubbles and distortions that are a hallmark of recycled glass."

Sweet art

Graffiti used to be reserved for the spray can and the anarchist. Lately, it seems that creatives from every walk of life using every tool imaginable are using urban surfaces as a canvas. Shelly Miller is a Montreal-based artist that creates graffiti out of cake icing.

Sounds Refreshing

To celebrate CokeFM's 1yr anniversary, JWT brazil created a coversheet ad that cleverly turns the entire Capricho magazine into an iPhone dock and amplifier.

This is a great example of Coke embracing innovation in even the most unassuming context.

Method's Ocean Plastic Bottle

After an extensive design process, Method has released its Ocean Plastic Bottle. The bottle is composted of reclaimed plastic from oceans and beaches and post-consumer recycled plastic. It's an ambitious project that seems less profit driven and more about extending brand love for this eco-conscience brand. What impressed me is the straight-forward language used on the pack and website to define Method's role in reducing the tide of plastic waste. The pack evokes sea life and stand apart from other Method packaging without relying on cliches or grand marketing messages.

Branding to Die For

"Branded" is a film about a dystopian future where branding goes too far and destroys the world. I'm not kidding: you can't mock up this shit.
