Harc! A new Coke can approaches!





Harc Lee has proposed a new Coke can free of environmentally harmful inks. The concept relies completely on the embossing of the can. It's difficult to look at this and not worry about how it would translate to Zero and Diet Coke. Nonetheless, it's nice testament to how iconic Coke is in this moment in time and it's cool to see other designers playing with that iconic quality.

Strange Bedfellows






Designed by Dzmitry Samal as a unique concept for beverage cans, this can design utilizes a process called impact extrusion, where an aluminum slug is pressed at a high velocity with extreme force into a die/mold by a punch.

Looks more like the aluminum can and Metallica album artwork have gotten kinda cozy while cruising the award circuit together this year...

Pepsi has shed their identity of trend-based packaging and opted for a more iconic approach. A few people noticed the new logo leak this week. Today, you can find the packaging on Brand New. The new logo is supposedly a smile...

Why? Because, We Contour Can!


"Other agencies must have suggested this," said David Turner months ago in a very matter-of-fact tone. Yes, we all want a Coca-Cola contour can. Well, it was produced at one point, albeit in limited release and in only a sample market. This article, published in 1997, optmistically predicts the future of all Coca-Cola soda residing within proprietary packaging.
